Where Do You Deliver?
We deliver to customers within the Cape Girardeau, MO city limits and right outside the city limits. Additionally we do have areas of the city which we won't deliver to for the safety of our delivery team. If you are curious about whether we will deliver to you just give us a call or email with your address.
How Does It Work?
AHW Delivery is simple. You make your grocery list just like you would if you were shopping, indicate quantities of items you want, we pick up the list and head to your store of choice, and once all your items are picked up we bring them back to your residence.
How Much Does It Cost?
Cost is always a concern, but with AHW Delivery we stive to provide you with the lowest cost possible. Obviously you will be charged for the total amount of the items purchased for you, and a delivery fee of 10 dollars for receipts less than 50 dollars or 20% for receipts over 50 dollars. We don't ask for tips, and don't charge you outrageous delivery fees for smaller purchases.
How Do I Pay?
Payment is collected at the time of delivery. Your delivery person will bring the items to the door with your receipt and our billing transcript, at which time you may pay with cash.
What Stores Will You Shop At?
We shop at any of the stores inside the city limits of Cape Girardeau, MO. We also will shop at the local farmers markets and specialty markets when they are available.
What If They Don't Have An Item I Want?
It can happen that a store you requested will be out of a particular item you want. In the event a store doesn't have what you wanted we will contact you via telephone to try and satisfy your needs with another item; however, if there is no available substitute we will simply indicate the item was unavailable on your billing transcript.
Do Buy More Than Groceries?
We understand that not all people just need groceries, and so we will on a case by case basis go to non-grocery stores to procure items for you.
Is There A Way To Have Scheduled Deliveries?
Scheduled deliveries are absolutely available. You just tell us what interval you would like to have your groceries delivered, and we will purchase the items on your list and deliver them at the arranged intervals. If you need to add or remove items from the list just call us before the scheduled delivery date, and we will make the changes you want.
How Do I Know I'm Getting The Best Prices?
Obviously you aren't shopping with us, and we know that, but we strive to purchase items at the lowest prices your store of choice has. When making your list you should include the brand of the items if possible so we won't need to choose. For items such as meat we choose the product which appears to be the freshest and highest quality, but you may specify otherwise. We understand disabled or elderly individuals have limited ability to shop on their own, and we strive to shop the way you would.
What Happens If Items Are Incorrect Or Damaged?
Any item which you have specified on your grocery list is considered correct, but we won't charge you for items which you didn't order or items which are not the correct brand. In the event items arrived damaged we will not charge you for those items, but you must spot the damage prior to our leaving to avoid being charged. If you order a dozen eggs and find one broken you must let us know at the time of delivery to avoid being charged.
Will You Buy Tobbaco And Alcohol?
No. We understand our clients may be of the legal age to consume these items, but unfortunatly for liability reasons we simply won't purchase or deliver these products.
Can You Help Me Put Away My Groceries?
Most of us are more than happy to help you put away your groceries, but the decision to do so lies with each driver. Understandably if you residence appears threatening to our drivers or the situation makes our drivers uncomfortable, we won't expect them to offer you this service. A well lit home, clean atmosphere, time of day, and safe neighborhood are all things our drivers will consider.
Can You Deliver Outside Of The Listed Times?
We realize some clients will need special delivery arrangements, and we are more than happy to take these on case by case. As you can understand we don't desire to deliver at 1 in the morning, but if you need a delivery at 10 at night we would be more than happy to work with you.
Will You Deliver To Non-Residential Addresses?
Maybe. We are more than happy to deliver to your place of business in most cases, but other non-residential locations will not be delivered to.
What If The Weathers Bad?
As can happen from time the time the weather will take a turn for the worse, and depending how bad we may have to move your delivery time. In the event we notice the weather is projected to be bad we will contact you to make new arrangements.
What If My Delivery Driver Never Shows Up?
We pride ourselves on our commitment to you, but mistakes can happen. In the event your delivery driver fails to show up within the time specified contact us at your earliest convenience and we will get your items to you as soon as possible; however, we are also understanding if you simply desire to cancel the order completely.
What If I Can't Meet My Delivery Person?
If for any reason you can't meet with your delivery driver we ask you call us immediatly to make new arrangements.
Can You Drop Off Packages For Me?
A common question we get is if we can drop of packages, and the answer is no. We understand our disabled and elderly clients have a difficulty with some tasks, but for our safety and liability reasons, we won't take packages for you.
Will You Help Me With Returns?
It depends. If you feel an item you received needs to be returned feel free to let us know, and we will work with you to determine if we will offer assistance.
